libhocr-python software package provides Hebrew OCR library Python bindings, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhocr-python
libhocr-python is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhocr-python package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhocr-python *
You will get with libhocr-python package name, version, architecture and description in a table
